BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR A DWI

Harold Hohlt (Washington County Jail)

A Brenham man was arrested on Monday afternoon by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office after it was determined that he was driving while intoxicated.

Just after 2pm, Deputy Jacob Faske was dispatched to the intersection of Mount Vernon Road and Quail Run Road after receiving a report of an individual asleep behind the wheel of their vehicle, and that the driver was unresponsive.

The vehicle was located and prior to getting it stopped, Deputy Faske said that it was traveling at an unsafe speed and served across the roadway multiple times.

Upon making contact with the driver, 57-year-old Harold William Hohlt, the odor of alcohol was detected.

After being medically cleared, Hohlt was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with a DWI.
