BRENHAM POLICE MAKE TWO ARRESTS ON MONDAY
Brenham Police made two arrests on Monday night, one for a DWI, and the other for an assault case.
Just after 10pm, Sgt. Jose Perez was patrolling near the 600 block of North Blue Bell Road and Lauraine Street. He observed a vehicle blocking the main lane of travel and stopped to investigate.
Standard Field Sobriety Tests were conducted on the driver, 59-year-old Arturo Castillo of Brenham. Castillo was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated- Second Offense, and was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was released to jail staff.
Then, just before midnight, Officer Brayten Rolling responded to the 800 block of Glenn Drive in reference to an active physical disturbance.
An investigation found that the suspect, 22-year-old Estephanie Guerrero Pina of Hockley, had assaulted a family member, but fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival.
While officers were still on scene, Pina returned and was placed in custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Member. Pina was transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in.
