ACCIDENT CALL AMONG THREE RESPONSES THURSDAY FOR BRENHAM FD
The Brenham Fire Department was called out three times on Thursday.
Shortly after 11 a.m., units were dispatched for a report of a smoke investigation at Highway 290 West and Sunset Road. They found three burn piles that were controlled. No action was taken.
Just before 2 p.m., firefighters responded to a transportation incident at Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Burleson Street. There, they found a two-vehicle accident with EMS on location. Firefighters helped EMS with patient care and washed the roadway down, returning to service once both vehicles were removed from the road.
Close to 2:15 p.m., BFD members went out to the 400 block of East Alamo Street for a report of a gas line hit. The fire department arrived to find the City of Brenham Gas Department on location. The line was not a gas line, so the fire department cleared the call.
