BASEBALL UPDATE: CUBS AND PANTHERS RAINED OUT

BRENHAM CUBS

Game 2 of the Brenham Cubs series against the Dayton Broncos has been rained out this (Friday) evening. The Cubs lead the series 1-0 after last (Thursday) night's 7-4 win.

Game 2 will now be tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am at College Station High School. If a third game is needed, it will be played 45 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.

If the Cubs win, they will advance to the Area Round. If the Broncos win, they would have to play a game three.

KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 10:30am on KWHI 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com.

BURTON PANTHERS

The Burton Panthers game against the Evadale Rebels is also rained out. Burton leads the series 1-0 after last (Thursday) night's 8-0 win.

Game two will be played tomorrow (Saturday). KWHI is currently awaiting word on when.

According to Head Coach Matt Thaler, the game will be at New Caney High School. Depending on what happens with the Vidor-Palestine game, the Burton-Evadale game is either going to be at 3pm or 5pm.
