BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR BAD CHECK WARRANT, DWI

  

Brenham police arrested two people on Tuesday, one for a warrant and another for driving while intoxicated.

At 9 a.m., Officer Mateo Guillen conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the 200 block of Highway 290 West.   Police say their investigation found that the driver, 39-year-old Gabriel Hall of Fayetteville, had a warrant out of the Washington County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace for Issuance of a Bad Check.  Hall was taken into custody for his warrant and transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.

At 10 p.m., Sergeant Jose Perez, Officer Stephen Mosley and Officer Brayten Rolling were dispatched to the 1900 block of FM 389 in reference to a possible intoxicated driver leaving the area.  Officer Mosley located the vehicle in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street.  After further investigation and conducting standardized field sobriety tests, police placed the driver, 33-year-old Shelby Colpetzer of Brenham, into custody for Driving While Intoxicated.  Colpetzer was taken to the Washington County Jail.
