The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls between Tuesday and early this (Wednesday) morning.
Nearing 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, BFD members were dispatched for a fire alarm at Cato Construction, 1906 Longwood Drive. They found the alarm was malfunctioning.
Close to 10:15 p.m., firefighters were called to the 400 block of West Fifth Street for a tree sparking at a power line. They found a tree limb arcing at a transformer and stood by until the limb was removed.
Around 12:15 a.m. today, units responded to a fire alarm at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South. They determined the alarm was going off due to water in the building.
At 12:15 a.m., units went out to the 1700 block of Ruth Circle for a structure fire. Upon arrival, they found active fire coming from the front of the house in the attic. The department extinguished the fire, containing it to the front of the house. The department said there was minimum damage to one room and the attic, and there were no injuries to report.
