Due to forecasts earlier in the week about possible rain and thunderstorms, the Burton High School ceremony decided to move indoors.
Family, friends, and other members of the community gathered at the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Center on the Blinn College Brenham Campus for their annual commencement ceremony.

Melanie Wood, who was chosen as the class salutatorian, responded to a question she was asked about whether she regrets going to a small school like Burton.
This year, Burton ISD featured a graduating class of 35 students. 13 members of the class graduated with honors.
