BRENHAM LIBRARY TO OFFER ‘CITIZEN101’ CLASSES THIS SUMMER

As the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library celebrates America250 and the library’s 125th anniversary, citizens are invited this summer to a series of free programs to learn more about how the City of Brenham operates.

“Citizen101” classes will be held at the library on Mondays in June and July, bringing in representatives from various departments to talk about the services they provide and offering a touch-a-truck experience with their equipment.

The presentations will allow adults to ask questions, teenagers to learn about career opportunities, and children to see the equipment the departments use.

The “Citizen101” schedule for the summer includes:

  • June 1st - First Responders
  • June 8th - Utilities Electric Department
  • June 15th - Animal Services - Joint Adoption Event
  • June 22nd - Main Street
  • June 29th - Utilities Gas Department
  • July 6th - Parks and Rec
  • July 13th - Development Services
  • July 20th - Utilities Wastewater Department
