EIGHT MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ARRESTS FOR BRENHAM PD
Brenham police arrested eight people over Memorial Day weekend.
A few minutes after 11 p.m. Friday, Officer Brayten Rolling conducted a locals check in the 2400 block of South Chappell Hill Street. The officer observed 20-year-old Jaquan Dewayne Daniels of Brenham on location, and he showed to have five local Class C warrants. Daniels was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
Shortly before midnight, Sergeant Jose Perez responded to a complaint call in the 700 block of Pleasant View Avenue. According to police, their investigation revealed that 48-year-old Rodney Wallace of Chappell Hill was intoxicated in a public place and causing a disturbance. Wallace was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.
At 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Officer Eric Crosby observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way in the 900 block of Highway 290 West. A traffic stop was conducted, which police say revealed that the driver was intoxicated. 42-year-old Terry Gardner of Lampasas was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd and taken to the Washington County Jail.
At 7:30 p.m., Sergeant Perez responded to the 2500 block of South Day Street in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, police say their investigation found that 41-year-old Larry Dallmeyer of Carmine had allegedly assaulted a victim and was found to be in possession of THC. Dallmeyer was placed into custody for Injury to a Child with Intentional Bodily Injury and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram. He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Just past 9:45 p.m., K9 Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 800 block of Highway 290 East. The driver, 38-year-old Donald Beal of Brookshire, was taken into custody for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
Shortly after 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Officer Crosby was dispatched to the 300 block of Stone Hill Drive in reference to a welfare concern. According to police, they found that 51-year-old Jennifer Conway of Brenham was intoxicated in a public place. Conway was subsequently placed into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
Close to 12:15 a.m. Monday, Sergeant Perez responded to the 1400 block of Lauraine Street in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, 18-year-old Leeland Drew Von Minden of Brenham was taken into custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member. Von Minden was booked into the Washington County Jail.
Just shy of 3:15 p.m., Officer Rosa Salinas observed a wanted person near Pleasant View Avenue and Fairview Street. Police report that the officer knew 33-year-old Travis Odell Cooper of Brenham had an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed, and Cooper was taken into custody for an active warrant out of the College Station Police Department for Theft of Property $100 - $750. He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
