BARNHILL CENTER ADVISORY BOARD APPROVES PARTNER & ADVERTISING PROGRAM
The Barnhill Center Advisory Board agreed on Monday to create a partner and advertising program.
Staff at The Barnhill Center says the program is meant to help expand community investment and financial support opportunities for The Barnhill Center’s Entertainment Series.
The partnership program will provide annual and individual show tiers, one for $10,000 and the other for $1,000. Both provide advertising, visibility across digital and onsite channels, advance ticket access, and recognition in promotional and pre-show environments. Annual partners receive year-long acknowledgement, while show partners receive benefits aligned with specific performances.
Board members received a list of potential partners and will select businesses to reach out to for participation.
Also at Monday’s meeting, the board was informed that The Barnhill Center producer Sharon Brass will work on finding talent to perform for a fundraising concert sometime next year. The funds from the event would go into the improvement fund.
Board members learned that the venue preservation committee will have an assessment of the facility by the end of the summer. The assessment will let the board know what is needed for upgrades to the building and the theatre. Meanwhile, the strategic planning committee will access the 2004 business plan to see if all goals have been met, which could help in the future with potential grants.
In other items, the board learned that the Speaker Series event hosting University of Houston Coach Willie Fritz was completely sold out. Additionally, work is underway on a historical marker, and paperwork is nearly complete for submission to the Texas Historical Commission.
