BRENHAM PD MAKES WARRANT ARRESTS FOR ARSON, PAROLE VIOLATION
Brenham police arrested two people on Thursday on warrants.
Shortly after 7 p.m., Officer Brayten Rolling conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of West Blue Bell Road for speeding. Police say the driver, 20-year-old Eric Cruz of Brenham, was found to have an active warrant issued out of Walker County for Arson with Intent to Damage a Habitat/Place of Worship. Cruz was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
Close to 9:30 p.m., Officer Brayten Rolling conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Baylor Street for a vehicle displaying expired registration. Police found that the driver, 42-year-old Joshua Franklin of Brenham, had an active warrant for a Parole Violation out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for Assault of a Family/Household Member Impeding Breath/Circulation. Franklin was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
