LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS THREE ON MULTIPLE CHARGES
Three people were arrested on multiple charges by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
Deputies were dispatched to a reported Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon case in the 1000 Block of Kay Street in Giddings.
They later located a suspect vehicle at a local business and conducted a traffic stop.
A Lee County Constable K-9 Unit was deployed at the scene, and alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 5.28 grams of methamphetamine, 3.53 grams of Xanax, drug paraphernalia, a 9mm handgun, and nine catalytic converters.
The three suspects were taken to the Lee County Jail in Giddings.
Laryssa Ashlee Muniz of Giddings was charged with:
Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, More than 4 grams but less than 200 grams, a second-degree felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3, Less than 28 grams, a Class A Misdemeanor
Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, a Class A Misdemeanor
And Unlawful Possession of Catalytic Converters, a State Jail Felony
Juan Carlos Ramirez of Giddings was charged with:
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, More than 4 grams but less than 200 grams, a second-degree felony,
And Unlawful Possession of Catalytic Converters, a State Jail Felony.
Kiev-Ry Soun of Alvin was charged with:
Unlawful Possession a Catalytic Converters, a State Jail Felony.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation is ongoing, and more charges are pending.
