BELLVILLE PD ARRESTS MAN FOR ONLINE SOLICITATION OF MINOR

The Bellville Police Department reports the arrest of a man on allegations of attempting to meet with underage girls for sexual encounters.
In a release on Sunday, the department says its investigation began in May when it learned about a man contacting underage females using social media applications.
According to police, investigators found that the suspect sent multiple messages to underage girls for the purpose of meeting and engaging in sexual acts.
Investigators gathered information and presented the case on June 8th to the Austin County District Attorney’s Office.
After obtaining warrants, police located and arrested Anthony Phearse, who has been charged with two second-degree felony counts of Online Solicitation of a Minor.
Police investigation is ongoing.
