SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS ARRESTS FOR DWI, THEFT WARRANT, ASSAULT
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office made four arrests over the weekend on charges including driving while intoxicated, theft and assault.
Shortly after 11:45 p.m. Friday, Sergeant Adam Zavala conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West Main Street. The driver reportedly displayed signs of intoxication and, after further investigation, was taken into custody. 54-year-old Terry Dale Stegmann of Brenham was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.
At 4:15 p.m. Saturday, deputies assisted the Waller County Sheriff’s Office in apprehending a subject with a warrant in Harris County. A traffic stop was initiated in the vicinity of Providence Street, leading to the arrest of 41-year-old James Fenimore of Waller. The driver, 40-year-old Kristan Denise Brinkman of Chappell Hill, was also taken into custody. Fenimore was booked for his warrant of Theft of Material – Aluminum/Bronze/Copper/Brass, while Brinkman was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram. Both were booked into jail without incident.
Close to 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to a weapon-involved disturbance in the 300 block of All Jersey Road. Upon arrival, deputies interviewed the parties involved. After conferring with the county attorney’s office, the sheriff’s office placed 28-year-old Shawn Edward Puckett of Dale under arrest. Puckett was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
