MULTIPLE CRASH CALLS FRIDAY FOR BRENHAM FD
The Brenham Fire Department was called out five times on Friday.
Just past 2:15 p.m., units went out for a fire alarm at Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street. The alarm was determined to be false.
Shortly after 2:45 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a crash in the 14000 block of FM 1371. They helped with fluid mitigation and leak control for a truck that was turned over. Once the leak was secured, the fire department returned to service.
At 4:15 p.m., BFD members responded to a crash in the 6500 block of Highway 290 East. They checked for fluids and found some on the roadway, so they mitigated the fluids before clearing the call.
Two more crash calls were reported, one around 5 p.m. at South Market Street and East Stone Street, and the other approaching 9 p.m. in the 1500 block of FM 389. For both calls, units made location and were released by the Brenham Police Department.
