THREE ACCIDENT CALLS SATURDAY FOR BRENHAM FD
The Brenham Fire Department was called out three times on Saturday and twice early Sunday morning.
Around noon on Saturday, units responded to a crash at South Day Street and West Stone Street. They found a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. The fire department was released by the Brenham Police Department.
Another crash was reported close to 12:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Lounge Road. A one-vehicle accident was found off the road. Firefighters assisted EMS with patient transport and stood by until a wrecker made location.
BFD members went out to another crash close to 12:45 p.m. at Highway 36 North and West Blue Bell Road. They located a two-vehicle accident with no injuries and provided traffic control until the roadway was cleared.
Approaching 3 a.m. Sunday, personnel were called out to a home in the 800 block of Pleasantview Avenue for a report of a structure fire. Nothing was showing from the exterior of the home. Firefighters checked with the resident, who advised they smelled an electrical smell. After checking the home, nothing was found, so the department returned to service.
Around 3:15 a.m., units responded to a gas odor/leak at a residence on Parkview Street. They made location and checked the residence. The fire department stood by until the City of Brenham Gas Department arrived and released them from the scene.
