BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, TERRORISTIC THREAT

  

Brenham police arrested six people over the weekend on charges including aggravated assault and terroristic threat.

At 10:15 a.m. Friday, Corporal James Catchings, Corporal Edward Ortega, Officer Brayten Rolling and Officer Mason Guillen responded to the 2200 block of South Market Street to serve an arrest warrant.  40-year-old Patrick Puente of Brenham was arrested for three counts of Terroristic Threat of a Family/Household Member out of Waller County.  Puente was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked without incident.

Close to 6:30 p.m., Officer Stephen Mosley responded to the 1500 block of Farewell Street in reference to a disturbance.  According to police, their investigation revealed that 25-year-old Daylin Kentrell Smith of Brenham allegedly pointed a firearm at two other individuals on scene.  While being taken into custody, police report that Smith began resisting officers.  He was ultimately taken to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.

Just past 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Officer Karime Ortiz and Officer Eric Crosby were dispatched to the 400 block of East Stone Street in reference to an assault.  Police say their investigation revealed that 30-year-old Deion Smith of Somerville allegedly assaulted a resident then left the scene.  Smith was located in the 1500 block of South Market Street and taken into custody.  He was booked into the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

Shortly before 11:15 p.m., Officer Mosley conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the 200 block of Highway 290 West.  After investigation, the driver, 23-year-old Dionicio McKeeth Marquese Zeferino of New Ulm, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.  Zeferino was transported to the Washington County Jail.

A few minutes after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Officer Ortiz and Officer Crosby conducted a traffic stop for equipment violation near the 2800 block of Highway 36 South.  A probable cause search was conducted, and police say the driver was found to be in possession of a THC vape along with tobacco vapes.  18-year-old Stephen Otero of Brenham was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram and Minor in Possession of Tobacco.

At 10 p.m., Officer Ortiz and Officer Gabriel Duran were dispatched to the 1100 block of West Main Street in reference to a reported suspicious person.  On-scene investigation revealed the subject was intoxicated in a public roadway.  50-year-old Jason Hrachovy of Brenham was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.
