SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS BRENHAM MAN FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported an arrest on Wednesday for marijuana possession.

Nearing 2:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop for failure to signal a turn near Blue Bell Road and Old Independence Road.

During contact with the driver, deputies detected an odor of marijuana, which they say they located during a search of the vehicle.

62-year-old William Henry Ward Jr. of Brenham was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
