SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS THREE FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people between Friday and Sunday on marijuana possession and other various charges.
At 6 p.m. Friday, Corporal Albert Vasquez initiated a traffic stop in the 13800 block of Highway 290 West for no front license plate. The sheriff’s office reported detecting an odor of marijuana upon contact, leading to a search of the vehicle and the discovery of marijuana. The driver, 20-year-old Elijah Alexander Alvarez of Humble, was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Just after 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Deputy Jacob Faske conducted a traffic stop for speeding in the 5300 block of Highway 105. According to the sheriff’s office, the odor of marijuana was detected upon contact, so deputies performed a search of the vehicle. Both occupants were taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail. 19-year-old Elijah Jamaar Green of Washington has been charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair, while 20-year-old Daeylon Lamar Watson of Brenham is charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Unlawful Carrying of Weapons.
