TWO ACCIDENTS AMONG THREE WEEKEND CALLS FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls between Saturday and early this (Monday) morning.
Just before midnight on Saturday, firefighters were dispatched to a crash at West Tom Green Street and South Market Street. They provided blocking at the scene, returning to service once the vehicle was removed from the roadway. The department did not report any injuries.
Another accident was called in shortly after 10:45 a.m. Sunday at West Mansfield Street and South Austin Street. Units found a single vehicle that hit a tree. No one was injured, and no fluids were found leaking.
A few minutes past 1:15 a.m. today, BFD members received a report of a structure fire at a residence in the 700 block of Burleson Street. Nothing was found showing from the exterior of the home. Units found that two plugs were causing the smoke and turned the breaker off to a section of the home. The homeowner was advised to have an electrician come out.
