CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK BREAKS GROUND AT NEW BRENHAM LOCATION
Representatives from Citizens National Bank and the Washington County community gathered this (Friday) morning to break ground at its permanent location in Brenham.
Officials from the bank and local dignitaries spoke before turning dirt at the site, located at 400 South Austin Street. The bank is temporarily operating at 317 South Austin Street, next to PoolTex. This will be the bank’s tenth location in Texas, with other banks in Milam, Lee, Williamson, Travis and Bell counties.
Citizens National Bank Market President Jim Kruse said this groundbreaking serves as much more than digging into the dirt, as the bank is “planting deep roots”, and it believes in the community and its future.
Also speaking was Citizens National Bank President and CEO Steven Wise, who remarked on how Brenham serves as a great fit and on the bank’s desire to be a strong community partner. Brenham Mayor Atwood Kenjura and Washington County Chamber of Commerce President Jamie Rankin thanked the bank for choosing Brenham.
Kruse said the estimated timeline for project completion, weather-permitting, is 6-8 months.
