BRENHAM TOASTMASTERS EARNS DISTINGUISHED CLUB RECOGNITION

  

Brenham Toastmasters has earned Distinguished Club recognition through Toastmasters International’s Distinguished Club Program.

The program recognizes Toastmasters clubs that provide a high-quality experience for their members while demonstrating progress in education, membership, leadership training, and club administration. 

A release from Brenham Toastmasters says Distinguished status reflects a club where members are actively developing communication and leadership skills, officers are trained to support members, meetings are organized and welcoming, and members are encouraged to set and achieve personal goals.

Club President DeWayne Mortensen said the recognition belongs to the members, adding, “Every speech given, meeting role filled, evaluation offered, new member welcomed, and goal achieved helped our club earn this distinction.  More importantly, it shows that we are creating the kind of environment where people can learn, grow and become more confident communicators and leaders.”

Brenham Toastmasters welcomes anyone interested in improving their communication, public speaking or leadership skills to attend a meeting, held Monday nights at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Brenham Police Department.
