WALLER, BURLESON, BRAZOS COUNTIES ADOPT BURN BANS
All counties surrounding Washington County are now under a burn ban.
The last counties left to adopt burn bans, Waller and Burleson, did so effective today (Wednesday). Brazos County enacted a burn ban on Tuesday.
The bans restrict outdoor burning in the counties’ unincorporated areas.
The number of counties in Texas with active burn bans continues to climb amid prolonged dry conditions, though that may change for some areas, following rainfall from Tropical Storm Edouard. As of today, at least 210 of the state’s 254 counties are under a burn ban.
