ILLEGAL BURNING REPORT AMONG THREE CALLS FOR BRENHAM FD MONDAY
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Monday.
Just before 3:30 p.m., units went out to H-E-B, 2508 South Day Street, for a report of a baby left in a vehicle with the vehicle running. Upon arrival in the area, they found no vehicle matching the description, so they returned to service.
A few minutes past 4:45 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the area of the 500 block of East Sixth Street for an illegal burning. Units found someone burning in their backyard and advised the homeowner that they could not burn in the city. The department then extinguished the fire.
Close to 5 p.m., BFD members were called to a report of a transportation incident involving an 18-wheeler in the 8600 block of Highway 290 West. The Berlin Volunteer Fire Department arrived to find the 18-wheeler was not leaking any fluids, so Brenham units returned to the station.
