BRENHAM FD CALLED OUT WEDNESDAY FOR GRASS FIRE, FIRE ALARM

The Brenham Fire Department went out for two calls on Wednesday.

At 9:45 a.m., members of the Brenham Fire Department and Berlin Volunteer Fire Department responded to a grass fire in the 400 block of FM 2679.  The property owner was burning a pile, and there was less than an acre on fire.  Units extinguished the fire and advised the owner about the burn ban that is still in effect.

Around 3:30 p.m., BFD personnel were dispatched to Prairie Lea Hall, 911 West Fifth Street, for a fire alarm.  They made location to find the alarm had a malfunction.
