WASHINGTON CO. HOSTING TIME CAPSULE OPENING CEREMONY OCT. 20
Washington County has set the date for a ceremony to reveal what may be a piece of history.
The county will hold a time capsule opening ceremony on Tuesday, October 20th at 5:30 p.m. at the Washington County Expo Event Center.
A large box was recently found hidden behind one of the stones of the Washington County Courthouse, which was built in 1939. The box, located by the county’s contractor for the exterior courthouse restoration project, is believed to be a time capsule.
The county says, “We can’t wait to see what has been preserved inside and share this exciting moment with our community.”
