TOASTED YOLKS CAFE COMING TO BRENHAM

For more than a decade, a group of Toasted Yolk team members has helped open cafés across the South, from site selection to the first cup of coffee poured. This December, five of them are opening one they will own themselves in Brenham.

The ownership group brings 160 years of combined restaurant experience, and some of them have worked side by side for more than 10 years.

The Toasted Yolk Cafe will open at 932 Highway 290 East in mid-December, serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch from 7am to 3pm, seven days a week.

Before the grand opening, the café will host a soft opening to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County, which has given local kids a safe place to learn and grow after school for 30 years. Dates will be announced soon.

The café will employ about 35 people from the area.

Shan Peters, who is a member of the ownership group, and Director of Operations and Training, said, "We have always wanted to be a part of the Brenham community and felt it was the perfect location for a Toasted Yolk, with the proximity to Houston, College Station, and Austin, where we already have franchised Toasted Yolk locations.  Brenham is growing fast and has so many various activities and venues that attract guests from miles away."

Guests can try seasonal favorites like the Tiramisu Pancake and the Tiramisu Carajillo, a coffee cocktail, alongside reimagined breakfast and brunch classics, handcrafted coffee, and a lunch lineup of salads, sandwiches, and soups.
