WASHINGTON CO. FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE GARAGE FIRE

Multiple Washington County fire departments responded to a garage fire on Monday.

Around 10:45 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 3700 block of Orion Drive, where they found a garage fully involved.

Members of the Brenham Fire Department and the Meyersville, Chappell Hill and Salem Volunteer Fire Departments responded.  They used tank water to knock the fire down and extinguished all hot spots inside the structure.

The Brenham Fire Department says no other structures, apart from the garage and some fence, were affected.  The garage was deemed a total loss, but there were no injuries to report.

Brenham firefighters went out to one other call on Monday.

Just after 9 a.m., units went out to High Hope Care Center of Brenham, 401 East Blue Bell Road, for a fire alarm.  They made location to find a pull station that was activated by a resident.  No smoke or fire was found, so the fire department reset the alarm.
