FAYETTE CO. AUTHORITIES TAKE ‘DANGEROUS’ MAN INTO CUSTODY
Fayette County authorities have taken a man into custody they say was considered dangerous.
Sheriff’s deputies were advised a possibly suicidal man was traveling east-bound, with his two children, Sunday afternoon on Highway 71 from Bastrop.
Deputy Colon Godmintz pulled over the 2015 Dodge Durango, near State Highway 159, just before 4:00 p.m.
The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to a facility in Georgetown for evaluation.
The two children were unharmed and released to their grandparents.
