OFFICIALS: HEARNE ISD ‘MOVING IN POSITIVE DIRECTION’

  

Administrators with the Hearne ISD say they feel the district is moving in a positive direction.

Officials say the district received high ratings in their math and reading at the elementary school.

The district’s goal is to increase the percentage of students that meet or master progress in all subjects of the STAAR/EOC test from 41% to 70% by 2022.

Officials say they have many areas of improvement that they are working on to continue to get their test scores higher including in the science department.

Hearne High School achieved the "Met Standards" rating placed by the TEA. The other campuses showed improvement.
