BRENHAM ISD GIFTED AND TALENTED SCREENING THROUGH FEB. 6TH

The Brenham Independent School District will be accepting requests for Gifted and Talented screening beginning January 24 through February 6.

Parents may pick up a Parent Checklist and a Request for Screening Form from the Brenham ISD Administration Office at 711 E. Mansfield St. or the forms can be found at brenhamisd.net.

K-through-12 students may participate in the GT nomination, assessment, screening and identification process.  Brenham ISD screens students for the program using a multi-criteria approach to selection with 3 phases of placement.

GT identification is based upon data collected from achievement tests, ability tests, parent and teacher observation surveys, and student products from Kingore Planned Experiences.

Anyone interested in nominating their child for the Gifted and Talented program in Brenham ISD, needs to complete the Request Form and Parent Checklist and return both to the central administration office by 4:30 pm, Tuesday, February 6.  All forms received after the deadline will be retained until the Fall testing time.

For more information, contact Lori Ruiz-Wamble, Director of Special Programs, at 979-277-3700.

  1. G/T is one of the best programs out there…It allows kids who actually want to succeed in life to be separated out from the lazy kids who don’t want to try. If you’re a parent who wants your kid to get a real education, get your kid into G/T.
