SNOOK ISD MOVING FORWARD WITH CONSTRUCTION
After passing a $7.5 million bond, Snook ISD is continuing with planning campus construction and renovation.
Proposition A of the Snook ISD’s bond election, held in early May, requested new classroom space, a new cafeteria and a multipurpose athletic facility. The proposal passed by only one vote, in a 265-264 decision. Proposition B’s new softball complex for an estimated $725,000 failed in a 278-250 vote.
Last week, the Snook School Board met for its regularly scheduled meeting and chose PBK of Houston to be the project’s architectural firm, and Hesco of Franklin to be the district’s project manager. Each vote passed by a 5-2 margin.
