BPD CHIEF TO ADDRESS EVENING LIONS
Brenham Police Chief Allwin Barrow Jr. will be guest speaker at tonight’s (Tuesday) meeting of the Brenham Evening Lions Club.
Barrow took over as the local police chief earlier this year. He is a 48 year veteran of law enforcement, with 27 years as a police chief.
Barrow has served as chief of police in Kerrville and Waxahachie, and as interim police chief in nine other Texas cities. He has also served as a law enforcement consultant.
He’s also served as a criminal justice professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio and Dallas Baptist University.
He has also worked with the U.S. Department of Defense and numerous federal agencies on crime control and community revitalization.
The club will meet at 7 p.m. tonight in the Cannery Kitchen, East Alamo Street.
Club members and guests are invited to eat beginning at 6:30 p.m.
