LCRA TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR COMMUNITY PROJECT GRANTS THROUGH JANUARY

  

The Lower Colorado River Authority is accepting grant applications for community projects beginning Tuesday.

Applications for grants through the Community Development Partnership Program will be available starting January 1st, and ending January 31st.  Grants of up to $50,000 are available.

The program recently helped fund 23 projects, including providing emergency equipment to firefighters and other first responders, upgrading electrical systems in community halls, and renovating volunteer fire stations.

Eligible organizations include schools, volunteer fire departments, emergency responders, libraries, civic groups, and other nonprofit organizations.
