ONE KILLED IN CRASH ON SH-6 IN ROBERTSON CO.

  

One person is dead following an early morning collision in Robertson County.

23-year old Ryan Griffin of Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene after the 2010 Mazda he was driving, reportedly crossed over the center line on State Highway 6 and struck a Ford F-250 pickup.

According to the Department of Public Safety, Griffin was north-bound when his vehicle suddenly crossed over the median and struck the south-bound pickup, head on.

The driver of the pickup, 46-year Jose Rodruguez of Corpus Christi, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, with minor injuries.

Highway 6 was reduced to one lane in each direction for several hours, as DPS Troopers investigated the scene.
