KWHI TO AIR POLITICAL FORUMS

  

KWHI will be broadcasting a pair of political forums next week.

Monday, a group of concerned citizens are hosting a candidates’ forum for the upcoming Burton School Board election.

The forum is Monday evening at 7:00 at the Burton Community Center.

Incumbents for the two positions are: Demetrius Colvin and Jeff Harmel.  The challengers are Linda Sue Pinkerton and Jon L. Johnston.  The four are running for two positions on the board.

Also on the ballot, is a special election in which incumbent Ande Bostain faces challenger John Parffrey.

Then, Wednesday evening, KWHI will host a candidates’ forum at Brenham National Bank for City of Brenham and Blinn Board of Trustees elections.

On the city ballot, Mayor Milton Tate is facing the challenge of former mayor, Dorothy Morgan.  In Ward 4, incumbent Danny Goss faces Adonna Saunders.

For the Blinn Board of Trustees, former Blinn instructor C.F. Poehlmann faces former Blinn Adminstrator Dennis Crowson for a seat on the board.

Wednesday’s forum will begin at 5:30.
