GAS PRICES UP SLIGHTLY WEEKEND BEFORE THANKSGIVING
As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, gas prices in Texas are slightly up from a week ago.
The statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel is $2.25, up one cent from this past week. However, the current price is two cents cheaper per gallon than this time a year ago.
In Brenham, the average is slightly higher at $2.27 per gallon, with a low of $2.08 and a high of $2.46.
Of the major metropolitan areas surveyed in Texas, drivers in Midland-Odessa are paying the most on average at $2.42 per gallon, while drivers in San Antonio are paying the least at $2.16 per gallon.
The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.59, a penny less than a week ago, but a cent more than this same time last year.
