FIVE SENTENCED IN LATEST DISTRICT COURT
Five people have been sentenced in the latest session of 21st Judicial District Court.
31-year old William Robert Rowell of Somerville was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a 2016 arrest for Sexual Assault of Child – a Second Degree Felony.
Rowell was also fined $5000 and must pay for victim counseling.
Also, 20-year old JaQuail Ceron Jackson, of Missouri City, was sentenced to seven years in prison for a May arrest for Tampering with Physical Evidence- a Third Degree Felony.
He was also sentenced to three years for Felony Possession of Marijuana 4 oz. – to—5 lbs. with a Deadly Weapon – a Third Degree Felony; Seven months for Possession of Marijuana 4 oz – 5 lbs – a State Jail Felony; and seven months for Money Laundering $2,500-to-$30,000 – a State Jail Felony.
57-year old Don Wayne Basey of Burton was sentenced to four years in prison for an August arrest for Terroristic Threat Against a Peace Officer – a State Jail Felony enhanced to Second Degree.
39-year old Kanesha Lashay Howard of Brenham, was placed on four years’ probation for Injury to a Child – a Third Degree Felony. Howard was also fined $200 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim in this case.
And, 23-year old Taylor Cherroid Johnson of Chappell Hill, received one year of probation and was fined $500 for Possession of Marijuana – a Class B Misdemeanor. Johnson must also perform 40 hours of community service.
