“DOVEY” NAMED PET OF THE WEEK

  

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named “Dovey” as its Pet of the Week.

Dovey is a Lab/Pittie mix, about three years old.  Brenham Animal Services staff say she has an “alpha” personality that would make her a great only dog, or a match to a more submissive dog.  Staff say she is a compact but solid girl who loves to roll around in the grass, so her ideal home would have a large, fenced yard.

Dovey is heartworm positive, but she is being treated.  She has also finished raising her pups, and walks well on a leash.

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center is still closed to visitors, but anyone looking to adopt or foster a pet can see the shelter’s available pets online at www.petfinder.com.  Appointments can be made by calling 979-337-7351, or going to the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page.  Appointments are being taken Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.
