RANGERS DROP SECOND-STRAIGHT TO ROCKIES
Colorado scored three times in the fourth inning and cruised to a 5-2 win over the Rangers, Sunday.
Rockies’ shortstop Trevor Story hit the first of two home runs on the afternoon in the fourth, tying up the game at 2-2 off losing pitcher Joe Palumbo (0-1).
The Rangers had taken the early lead on Joey Gallo’s first homer of the season and an rbi-single from Nick Solak.
The highly-anticipated debut of Texas pitcher Cory Kluber lasted just one inning as he struck out one and walked one on 18 total pitches, then left with shoulder tightness. It was Kluber’s first start since May of last year when he suffered a broken arm while with Cleveland. He was acquired in an off-season trade.
The Rangers will have an off day Monday, then host Arizona beginning Tuesday evening.
