ASTROS AND RANGERS DROP GAMES THURSDAY

Kole Calhoun ripped a two-run double of Ryan Pressley, giving Arizona a 5-4 walk-off win over the Astros, Thursday night

The Astros entered the bottom of the ninth with a 4-3 lead, after Alex Bregman’s two-run home in the top of the eighth.

Pressley (0-1) did not retire a batter in the ninth, walking Andy Young and yielding a single to Nick Ahmed, prior to Calhoun’s double.

The Astros open a weekend series at Oakland, Friday night.  First pitch is set for 8:10 (CDT), with the pre-game show at 7:35 on AM 1280 KWHI and FM 101.7.

Oakland scored four runs in the fourth inning and held on for a 6-4 win over the Rangers, Thursday.

Mike Minor slipped to 0-3 on the season, yielding five runs in five innings of work.  Todd Frazier and Anderson Tejada homered as the Rangers attempted a comeback that fell short.

The Rangers move on to Los Angeles to face the Angels, Friday night at 8:10.
