ASTROS TAKE DIVISION SERIES 3-1
For the fourth straight year, the Houston Astros have advanced to the American League Championship Series.
The Astros rolled past Oakland, 11-6, Thursday, taking the ALDS series, three games-to-one.
Houston got two home runs from Michael Brantley and one each from Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa. Carlos Javier picked up the win with two innings of scoreless relief.
The Astros now advance to face either the Tampa Bay Rays or New York Yankees in the ALCS. That series is tied at two games each. Game five is tonight (Friday) at 6:00 p.m.
The ALCS is slated to start Sunday at Petco Park in San Diego at a time to be announced.
