LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT BUSY, THURSDAY

  

No injuries are reported in a Thursday morning accident near Brenham High School.

Authorities were called out just after 7:00 a.m. to a two-vehicle collision.  Units arrived at the scene to find heavy damage to both vehicles.

The Fire Department used tank water to remove oil from the roadway.

Just after 12-noon, firefighters were called out to a home in the 600 block of Pleasantview.

They found light smoke coming from the home.  Inside they found a burning pot on the stove.

The department removed the pot and the smoke from the house.

Just moments later, the department was called to a vehicle fire at Blinn Boulevard and MLK Parkway.

The found a smoking mattress on the back of a pickup.  They used tank water to extinguish the fire.
