MAJOR BUSINESS RELOCATING TO CALDWELL

  

One of the nation’s largest upfitters of vehicles for school districts, highway safety and first responders is relocating its area operations to Burleson County.

CAP Fleet Upfitters has announced plans to relocate its Belton and Houston facilities to the Burleson County Industrial Park.

The 105-acre property will be the site of a 100,000 square foot assembly facility, in addition to a 24,000 square foot office building.

Burleson County Economic Development Council Executive Director Mike Sutherland told the Caldwell City Council that over 35 acres have already been cleared and closing for the land sale is anticipated in the next three weeks.

CAP Fleet is expected to bring 70-plus employees in their relocation, and they anticipate over 150 jobs at the Caldwell location in the next three years.
