LOCAL POLICE MAKE WARRANT ARRESTS
Brenham Police have made a pair of arrests on outstanding warrants.
Monday, just after 2:00 p.m., the Brenham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit observed 31-year-old Francisco Lopez of Brenham on Alois Lane.
Lopez was known to have an active felony warrant for his arrest for Assault Impeding Breath/Family Member and was contacted outside of his residence.
Lopez was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Washington Jail.
Then, just before 7:00 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at East Tom Green and South Baylor St for failing to stop at a stop sign.
The driver was identified as 32-year-old Clarissa Gantt of Brenham, who was placed in custody for three active warrants.
Two or the warrants are with City of Brenham Municipal Court: No Driver’s License and Failure to Appear/Bail Jumping. The third was with Ft Bend County: Fail to Identify Fugitive with Intent to Give False Information.
Gantt was then transported to the Washington County Jail.
