BLINN COLLEGE E-SPORTS VALORANT TEAM GOES 1-1 AT WEST REGIONAL OPEN QUALIFIER 2

Bucs beat Bushnell University, fall to University of California-Santa Barbara

Blinn College’s Valorant esports team went 1-1 in the West Regional Open Qualifier 2 tournament Sunday.
Blinn had a first-round bye, then defeated Bushnell University 2-0 to advance to the round of 32, but lost its next match with the University of California-Santa Barbara by a 2-1 score. The Buccaneers went 2-1 earlier in the West Regional Open Qualifier to open their season, advancing to the round of 16.
Team members for Blinn were Wesley Hawley, Justin Barry, Dylan Gerlach, Devin Dirst, and Syed Shaheer Naqvi.
Blinn’s Overwatch team plays the University of Mississippi tonight at 6. Its Rocket League team takes on Texas A&M University-San Antonio tonight at 9.
