HIGHWAY 36 TRAFFIC SIGNAL ACTIVATED WEDNESDAY

  

The Texas Department of Transportation has activated the temporary traffic signal at SH 36 and Business 36. All traffic will be routed through this newly constructed temporary intersection. Traffic on SH 36 southbound will access Business 36 by making a left turn at the new traffic signal. Similarly, traffic on SH 36 northbound will access Business 36 by making a right turn at the new traffic signal. This will enable TXDOT’S contractor to remove the existing bridge and construct the permanent intersection. The signal work was to happen on October 16^th, but was changed to October 23 due to a problem with the traffic control plan. The project is scheduled to completed in the summer of 2015.
