ANOTHER MURDER INVESTIGATION IN FAYETTE COUNTY

  

Fayette County officials are investigating their second murder in as many days.

Sheriff Keith Korenek says his deputies responded to a call Monday afternoon around 3:30 to a death at a residence on Mueller Rd. near LaGrange.

Deputies discovered 55-year old John Donald Weiler of LaGrange dead in his bedroom of an apart stab wound.

Texas Rangers Trampus Gooding and Brent Barina are assisting with this Investigation.

An Autopsy has been ordered.  The investigation continues.

Monday at around noon deputies were called to a home on Highway 290 in Ledbetter, where 19-year Justice Martinez was found dead and a small child wounded.

The child is being treated in an Austin hospital.

Authorities continue to search for a “Person of Interest” from Austin in that case.
