TWO ARRESTED THIS WEEKEND AFTER TRAFFIC STOPS

  

Two people were arrested this weekend in separate incidents after traffic stops by Brenham Police.

Early Saturday morning at 1:15 AM, Officer Conner Caskey stopped a vehicle in the area of Willow Court and Burleson Street for a traffic violation. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Harris County and the driver, James Pennygraph 33 year-old of Somerville, was taken into custody and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

Then Sunday, just after 10:00 AM, Officer Jimmy Ha stopped a vehicle in the 2200 block of Highway 290 East for a traffic violation. A probable cause search revealed the driver to be in possession of marijuana. A handgun was also located in the vehicle. The driver, , 23 of Spring, was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
