BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT APPROVES SETBACK VARIANCES
The Brenham Board of Adjustment unanimously approved a pair of variances concerning accessory structures at its meeting Monday.
The first variance was for Carl Franklin and Linda Bessmer to build a detached accessory dwelling unit at 405 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway. The variance allows them to have a 6.5-foot east side setback where a minimum of 10 feet is normally required.
The second variance approved was a special exception request from Russell and Donna Kellar for an accessory structure at 2501 Valley Drive. The minimum side setback length is usually 5 feet, but the variance allows a 3-foot south side setback.
